Research
Environmental data drew me toward problems where cleaning, modeling, geography, and interpretation all change the answer.
Under the guidance of University of Pennsylvania Professor Davi Maximo, I built a Python pipeline that mapped PurpleAir sensors to census tracts, corrected PM2.5 measurements for humidity, removed county-wide pollution trends, and constructed a weighted geographic-correlation network. I then used Ollivier–Ricci curvature to identify bottlenecks, compared coverage with population density, and presented the findings in a 10-page research paper.
Scale of the analysis: 395 sensors across 199 census tracts, summarized into 40,896 daily tract observations.
I co-conducted an ion chromatography study, prepared samples, built calibration curves, and analyzed seven major ions. The results showed elevated chloride and sulfate, indicating that the tested water did not meet national drinking-water standards; I documented the methodology, findings, and regulatory implications in a 27-page report.
I participate in research discussions on climate data, mathematical modeling, and statistical analysis, while supporting background research and preliminary data review for ongoing projects.

I helped distribute chess sets and integrity-focused learning materials to 30+ Little Free Libraries and 10 public libraries, created instructional videos, and authored a children's book for younger players. The project earned a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition from Representative Scott Peters.
I grew the club from three founding members to 26, organized six workshops and photo-sharing sessions on optics, motion, symmetry, and perspective, and guided ten physics-photo submissions to the AAPT contest.
I coordinate meeting logistics and communication and help organize demonstrations, workshops, competition preparation, and discussions connecting physics to real applications.
I lead the editing and publication of 8+ feature posts on Asian and Asian American athletes, co-founded the San Diego chapter, and help organize inclusive events for children with special needs that have attracted 20+ attendees.
For a global dialogue on AI and employment, I studied reports from the ILO, IMF, and OECD and produced an evidence brief on displacement, task change, inequality, reskilling, responsible adoption, and worker protections.
